Configuration and operation principles

Configuration and Operation Principles are training actions aimed at assisting trainees in acquiring knowledge of CAT equipment in order to ensure its profitability and maximize its uptime.

General Objective:

At the end of the training, the trainees should be able to describe the operation of the CAT equipment they have studied in order to reduce the downtime of such equipment.

Specific Objectives:

Identify components and describe the operation of various types of CAT engines.

Identify the components and describe the operation of various systems in the CAT equipment studied.

Programmatic Objectives:

At the end of training, trainees will be able to:

  •  Identify the components and describe the operation of various types of electric motors used in CAT equipment.
  • Identify components and describe the operation in CAT equipment-


Recipients: Mechanics and Personnel with functional experience.

Equipment Covered: Wheel Loaders, Crawler Excavators, Articulated Trucks, Track-Type Tractors

Teaching Methods: Lecture, Q&A, active and demonstrative
